Poonam Devi is a lower cast family from Dumka, Jharkhand. She is mother of two children's, studying 2th and 1st standard her husband has been a coolie auto driver and has been bringing in some income. He met with an accident and now he has a bad health and so not capable of going for regular work. So the burden of maintaining the family and the children fell on the shoulder of Poonam Davi. She joined the one year tailoring training at LCCT and learned to stich women and children dresses. She needed a machine to use her skill to earn some income So LCCT found a sponsorship support of Rs.10000 and bought a sewing machine. Now her average income per month is Rs. 4000 which is a great support to her family maintenance and to her children education.
